A Conversation with a Survivor

Lyn Barrington has survived several decades of domestic abuse and speaks about her unique insights. She has overcome adversity and reinvented herself several times as a result of her ability to survive. She has advocated for and made several recommendations for change, influenced decision makers to change policy on a national scale. Yet Lyn feels that the challenges faced by victim survivors are not well understood by the majority of people. The proposed format for this session is that Lyn would respond to questions put by Dr Sarah Moulds, Senior Lecturer in Law, UniSA and co-author of the Powerful Interventions Research project exploring the effectiveness of legal responses to domestic and family violence in South Australia.
