What we in Australia can Learn from Children Living in the Slums in Kenya

In 2019 my young children and I built two schools in resource poor communities in Kenya. Having gone through a pandemic on two sides of the world (Australia/Kenya) I now firmly believe we in Australia have more to learn from children in resource poor communities in Kenya than we can teach them. In their eyes lies the power of hope and possibility. In their bodies lies resilience, flexibility, strength and power. The children in our schools live in the harshest of conditions, but each day they rise and they smile, they hold gratitude in their hearts and a spirit so strong they have the power to conquer anything.
