Going Where No One But Katy Perry Has Gone Before

In the 1970s, astronauts were our superheroes, venturing into space with brains, courage and the legendary Right Stuff. Today, space is no longer reserved for professionals. With companies like SpaceX, Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic in the mix, even singers, actors and millionaires are blasting off – everyday people, supposedly, like you and me. So how close are we to booking a space holiday? Is the experience everything it promises to be? What role can Aotearoa New Zealand play in this next frontier – and is it worth the investment? Join one of UC’s space sector experts and find out ... well, at least some of the answers.
