Brazil: beyond supermodels and soccer

Brazil’s president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is the mastermind of the BRICS strategic economic block, designed in the 2000’s as a counterpoint from the Global South to Global North “imperialist” practices. However, can Lula’s project of “an alternative world order” be successful in the post-Ukraine-Russia geostrategic climate? This presentation highlights how Brazil contributes to global geostrategy, influencing the international arena beyond top supermodels and soccer players.
