Living in the Cloud: the Philosophical Prospects of Mind-Uploading

Mind-uploading is the process of transitioning a person from their biological hardware to an artificial hardware, e.g. by creating a computer simulation of a person's brain. Uploading optimists believe that we could literally survive uploading. Uploading pessimists believe that this is impossible. This presentation delves into the question of whether we should be optimists or pessimists.
