Do little minds need big help?

Join Associate Professor Laura Hart for an interactive discussion about recognising and responding to mental health problems in children. Laura will unpack research on child mental health, how we can define mental health problems in childhood, what kinds of discussions could create harm, when it’s appropriate to intervene, and how adults can help without stigmatising or isolating a child or those who care for them.

The stakes are high in child mental health, but supporting children doesn’t need to be complicated. Hear how health research is helping parents/carers, educators and health professionals develop the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond when a child is beginning to struggle. With the right support at the right time, big people can help little ones to master their mind.
