Mind games: uncovering AI deception and misinformation

From fake news to deepfakes, misinformation is no longer just a human problem. Take a journey inside the mind of the machine and explore how generative AI models, such as ChatGPT, can not only reflect our thoughts, but also manipulate them. Drawing on research in AI and misinformation, hear how models are capable of generating persuasive falsehoods, the psychological tricks they exploit, and why we are more vulnerable than we think. With real-world examples and a touch of dark humour, discover the mechanics of AI-driven deception and what we can do to outsmart it.
