Get out of your comfort zone
Get out of your comfort zone', 'make the most of life,' 'challenge yourself,' 'you only live once' - everyone's saying it. We seek challenges in work for self-development and career progression. We set challenges in our personal lives to test our boundaries and know ourselves better.
In her talk Annie, who is completing 52 sporting challenges in 52 weeks, will explore how we should be choosing our challenges. The risks of setting the wrong goals can leave us feeling overwhelmed, guilty and resentful. The right ones however have immense upside: achievement, satisfaction and benefits that outlive the challenge for you and for those around you.
Annie is living several lives at once this year. She works in corporate banking in the City, is running a fitness project called eXerK and also completing 52 sporting challenges in 52 weeks herself.
Having graduated in Economics, Econometrics and Spanish from The University of Bristol, Annie has been living and working in London for the last 5 years. Concerned that we spend so much time sitting, eXerK is aimed at getting busy people active. Exploring the concrete jungle of London beyond the culture and cocktails, Annie is filtering the most accessible ideas for outdoor exercise and inviting anyone to join her on her 52in52 challenges.
